Our Toddler’s Favorite Things to Eat
Finding healthy foods for a typical toddler can sometimes be exhausting. Add in having a toddler that is dairy and gluten-free can make it even more exhausting. Our daughter isn’t allergic to dairy or gluten but we have found that eating foods without those ingredients helps her digestion system. So we try to keep as much dairy and gluten out of her diet as we can. Small amounts every now and then seem to be okay for her which is helpful. I’ve listed out our toddler’s favorite things to eat below. All of the items listed below are at least mostly dairy and gluten free. I’ve also included where I buy the items.
Yogurt is one of our toddler’s favorite things to eat
Our daughter absolutely loves this vanilla yogurt from Silk. It is dairy and gluten-free. She can eat a container in about 5 minutes. I buy these at either HyVee or Walmart.

Snack puffs are a favorite too
Our toddler doesn’t eat a lot of packaged snacks right now. I’m not sure why she doesn’t. I have bought several different kinds of snack bars but she doesn’t seem interested. I wish she would because they make for an easy on-the-go snack. She will, however, eat these snack puffs from Yumi. They are dairy and gluten-free. I buy them at Target and they have a few different flavors. They are similar to the Gerber puffs that dissolve quickly.

Once Upon a Farm pouches are a favorite to go with lunch
My sister first heard about these pouches. She bought a few for our toddler and our toddler loved them. They are dairy and gluten-free and full of all kinds of goodness. There are so many different flavors and combination of fruits and vegetables that your kiddo will never get bored. Many of them also include flaxseed, Omega-3 and choline. I buy these at Walmart or Target but Sprouts has a much bigger selection of flavors.

Applesauce is one of our toddler’s favorite things to eat on the go
My go-to snack for on-the-go is applesauce pouches. They don’t need to be refrigerated and our toddler loves them. You can toss them and go. I love that you can get them with different flavors. You can find apple and banana, apple and strawberry and our favorite, apple and cinnamon. I mostly buy our applesauce at Walmart or Target but you can pretty much find applesauce anywhere.

Protein pouches are a great dinner option
Our toddler eats a lot of fruits. Fruits and vegetables are easy for her to eat on the go too when they are in pouch form. But trying to keep her dairy and gluten-free while getting in protein when we are out of the house can sometimes be tricky. I searched for a while trying to find pouches that have protein but not dairy or gluten. You would be surprised how many meat and vegetable pouches also contain dairy (to make it creamy) and gluten (for thickening). After a bit, I was able to find the brand Sprout Organics that had a few different flavor options that contained protein but were also dairy and gluten-free. And, thankfully, our toddler loves them! I buy these pouches at HyVee and Price Chopper.

Our toddler’s favorite things to eat wrap up
If you have a baby or toddler that is dairy and/or gluten-free these five foods are great options for meals or snacks. Our toddler eats the yogurt for breakfast, the applesauce and Once Upon a Farm pouches with her lunch, and the Sprouts protein pouches with her dinner. The puffs are a snack or to keep her busy. What are some go-to on-the-go snacks your toddler loves?
