Our Honest Thoughts on the Book
As I mentioned earlier, it wasn’t my son’s favorite book but I think he enjoyed reading it. The book is very thought-provoking and insightful, in my opinion. I like how the author paralleled two different stories. The twist at the end surprised me! I knew there was certain information in the book that I wanted my son to remember but I didn’t think a full report was necessary.
The Emergence of A Long Walk to Water Chapter Questions
Although the book is short and easy to read, I decided to write up reading comprehension questions for each chapter. The questions helped to keep my son engaged and focused on the book. I thought someone else might find these questions helpful for their child or student. The book is recommended for grades 4th – 7th grade. This is a 24-page comprehension packet for A Long Walk to Water. The student work is organized by chapter with 4-11 questions for each chapter and is a mix of multiple choice, short answer, and hypothesizing. Questions have varying levels of difficulty.
